What better way to start the year than with a bit of a throwback from the land of kimchi and kpop. Unfortunately 3 subjects of which i'm unfamiliar with but that's just me simply being too ignorant. Intrigued by the phenomenon of Korea (the south one in this case) who would resist the opportunity to experience what all the rave is all about. This trip was mainly about indulging oneself with a bit of culture, a bit of history, a bit of shopping and a whole lot of eating. Thus the adventure began.

Pardon the extremely late travel post but I have been busy being stupid these past few weeks. A quick getaway to Bangkok was definitely a nice way to kick off my heels and escape from my day to day office attire of pencil skirts and pin striped trousers.I think the only outfits I brought consist of shorts, tees and sneakers which was just perfect for the undeniably hot weather. Good old pure lazy time would probably best sum up this whole entire trip.

Have been off road tripping with barely any decent internet connection. the only thing keeping me sane in the car is a whole playlist of Michael Buble and slightly amusing Chinese warrior films. yeah you heard right, don't even begin to ask =) it's been such a long time since i've gone on these road trips and have completely forgot how tiring it can be...so excuse me if i'm constantly counting the days until my return to civilization.

I enjoy the feeling of being anonymous in a city I've never been before.
got back from the trip utterly exhausted instead of feeling relaxed. I know I shouldn't be complaining but it was burning HOT and the lack of wind made the heat all the more unbearable..indeed I was completely roasted, I kid you not! also my plans to check out Hussein Chalayan's exhibition and do some vintage shopping resulted into a total fail...bohoo! But nothing that a good'ol all you can eat Baklava can't fix =)
managed to take hundreds of photos yet I still don't think my pictures were able to capture how extremely enchanting Istanbul is. I guess some memories are just best kept in the head and cherished with the heart.
Better catch up on tons of reading now...
